Don’t you just love the crunch of a juicy apple or the sweetness of a plump strawberry? I sure do, and when it’s straight from the orchard there’s nothing fresher! The U-Pick trail lists many of the places in the Dandenong Ranges and Yarra Valley where you can pick your own delicious fruit.
Choose a sunny day and visit one orchard or more. Fruit picking is fun for the kids and educational too.
You can also indulge in locally made ice-cream, cakes, jams and other family favourites after you’ve picked all you want.
Tips
Wear comfortable clothes and walking shoes.
A sunhat and sunscreen are a must.
