We’re in the middle of winter here so it was misty and quite chilly this morning. In fact it was the coldest day on record so far this year. But no matter what the weather in Emerald – warm, cool, sun, rain, hail or mist – nature offers something to take your breath away.
Today it was rays of sunshine creating a backdrop behind the fernery, with mist helping to create the effect.
Given the name, Ferny Hill Retreat, we have to have a fernery. It sits alongside a private outdoor dining area and is a lovely spot for guests to enjoy.
This is a backyard photo but it (almost) looks like a real forest scene, don’t you think? Glad I snapped the pic when I could because the mist disappeared only 20 minutes later.
